LeBron James returns to action after taking shoulder to face in Game 2

Scary moment for The King, but he’s back.

LeBron James exited Game 2 of the Cavs-Celtics Eastern Conference Finals after an odd play left him a little dazed on the court.

James drove baseline with just over three minutes remaining in the second quarter, but when Jayson Tatum closed in, he inadvertently shouldered LeBron in the chin. James immediately signaled to exit the game, then gingerly walked to the tunnel then to the locker room.

The Cavaliers have yet to announce James’ status or the severity of his injury, but he has returned and is sitting on the sideline here with a few minutes to go in the second quarter. Cavs GM Koby Altman described the injury as a “neck strain.”

UPDATE: James returned with just under two minutes remaining in the second.
