Mark Daigneault, JB Bickerstaff, Mark Few To Join USA Basketball As Assistant Coaches Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault, Detroit Pistons head coach JB Bickerstaff and Gonzaga head coach Mark Few will be named assistant coaches by USA Basketball under head coach Erik Spoelstra.
Spoelstra replaced Steve Kerr as head coach last September.
Few has served in various capacities in USA Basketball over the past decade, while Daigneault and Bickerstaff will be new to the program.
Daigneault led the Thunder to the 2025 NBA championship and the No. 1 seed in the regular season in the Western Conference in each of the past three seasons.
Bickerstaff helped lead Detroit's turnaround back to the playoffs in 2025 and the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference this past season.
Team USA has World Cup qualifiers in late August ahead of the 2027 World Cup in Qatar.
Team USA doesn't need to go through qualifiers for the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles as the host county.
