The weird, unpredictability is in the books and now we move onto when the games begin to really show what these teams are made of. That doesn’t discount anything that happened in the opening week, but the reality is that it’s very difficult to learn much when everyone in the league is this green. Lest we forget that the Raiders beat the Patriots in Week 1 of 2025.
Despite how random the opening week can be, our panel went a combined 93-51 on the week. The biggest slips ups were the Cardinals beating the Chargers, which nobody predicted — and the Giants beating Dallas, which only one member of the panel called.
One thing we learned is there’s a lot more faith in the Giants than there was a week ago. In Week 2 we have several members picking the team to beat the Rams this time, indicating how much the team has improved under John Harbaugh already.
