Trae Young put on a passing display to open Saturday night’s preseason game against Detroit, with eight assists in the first quarter. Then, in the third quarter he was done for the night after this happened following a Ron Holland dunk.

There isn’t really much there, just a little pushing between Young and Daniss Jenkins. The officials gave a double technical for the pushing coming up the court, then a second one to each player because they kept barking at each other and didn’t walk away. That second tech led to the ejections.
Jenkins left the game with a dozen points.
Young finished the night with two points on 1-of-4 shooting, he had eight assists but also five turnovers in 23 minutes.

It’s just a preseason game, but the Wizards need Young to stay healthy and stay on the court this season. They paid him a massive four-year, $212 million contract to do just that.
