Jazz Likely To Keep Georges Niang

Jazz Likely To Keep Georges Niang

The Utah Jazz acquired Georges Niang in a trade with the Boston Celtics last week. Niang’s second stint in Utah doesn’t appear to be setup to be a short one.

Niang previously played for the Jazz for four seasons from 2017 through 2021. Since then, he’s played for the Philadelphia 76ers, Cleveland Cavaliers and Atlanta Hawks. Niang was acquired by Boston in a salary-clearing move that sent Kristaps Porzingis to the Hawks. The Celtics then further shed salary by sending Niang to Utah.

The Jazz sent two-way player R.J. Luis in the deal. Utah also acquired two future second-round picks for taking on Niang’s contract.

The Jazz have acquired several big men this summer to put around their young team. Utah also traded for Jusuf Nurkic, Kyle Anderson and Kevin Love this offseason. Love and the Jazz have reportedly discussed a buyout that would allow the veteran big man to join a contender for next season.

No. 1 2027 Recruit Babatunde Oladotun Reclassifies To 2026

Babatunde Oladotun has reclassified from 2027 to 2026 and will graduate this spring from Blake High School in Maryland. Oladotun won’t be 18 until December of his freshman year in college.

Oladotun was the No. 1 high school player in the class of 2027 and will likely be a top-10 recruit for 2026

“First and foremost, I am ahead of schedule academically and will graduate next year,” Oladuton told ESPN. “Most of my life, I have played up in age and after playing in the 17U division for Team Durant, I felt comfortable. I have gained 20 pounds over the last year and it never felt like I was playing up. Lastly, I am staying and graduating from Blake High School. It is a great environment, and I have a lot of support.”

Among those schools, he plans to visit Maryland and Virginia Tech first. Oladotun also unofficially visited UCLA and USC last year.

“We are looking for a coach that has a long history of teaching and winning,” his father, Ibrahim, told ESPN. “Someone who knows how to use a big guard and has a history of coaching big guards. A coach that also plays an NBA-style offense with quick actions.”

Plus, the pair dives deep into the stalemate between the Golden State Warriors and Jonathan Kuminga. Could the Warriors be holding on to Kuminga and STILL be pursuing a Giannis trade?!

Later, Kevin is joined by Yahoo’s Nate Tice to talk NFL. Why has the Kansas City Chiefs offense dropped in Tice’s ratings? Do the Eagles win because of or in spite of Jalen Hurts? And is Baker Mayfield overrated??

Chicago Bulls bringing back historic pinstripe jerseys

Chicago Bulls bringing back historic pinstripe jerseys

How much of a statement their play will make next season is up for debate, but the Chicago Bulls’ statement uniforms are winners.

The Bulls are bringing back the pinstripes.

This design is inspired by the jerseys worn by the team during the Jordan comeback championship era from 1995-97, as well as in 2007-08 and 2012-13.

Chicago brought back Dennis Rodman to show off the vintage look jerseys.

The team will wear the jersey on select Statement Edition game nights, which will be announced at a later date (after the NBA releases the upcoming league schedule in the next few weeks).

I’ll tune into those games just to see the jerseys back on the court.
